This letter is not stage-managed or focus-group driven. I am a candidate for state representative in District 9 (Kennebunkport and parts of Kennebunk and Biddeford), but I am not the Democratic Party-approved insider. I have not won the “trifecta,” as my primary challenger, Diane Denk, has claimed that she did.

My challenger has stated, in meetings I attended, that she wanted people to “unite” and not speak anything negative about Hillary Clinton. The Democratic Party establishment in Maine wants to run their chosen ones, who are carefully scripted.

I would not be their candidate of choice, having been a dissident and boat rocker since my political beginnings in 2001. We have given the bankers too much power, to our detriment. The rigged and corrupt bank-infested system must be uprooted and destroyed.

I will never shrink from calling for the end of this tyranny. “Our allegiance to American institutions requires the overthrow” of the economic royalists, as FDR said in 1936.

In prior years, I ran for office to provide the most effective plan to make this happen. This year is different: People are seriously considering the desperate course of action needed to turn the tide.

I am saying what I believe to be true and necessary. I will serve the people and stand up for this new direction.
