A Facebook post by Rebecca Lyn requesting birthday cards for her autistic cousin has been shared nearly 60,000 times.
Hallee Sorenson of Bangor is shown in a photo on the post waiting for friends and classmates to arrive for her 18th birthday party. No one showed up so Hallee sat and ate cake by herself.
The Facebook describes Hallee as a beautiful young woman, both inside and out. Lyn writes “She is also a person who just happens to have Autism.”
Lyn’s post asks that those who see the post flood Hallee’s mailbox for her birthday in July.
