A woman was seriously injured Sunday when her car rolled over after hitting a stone ledge off Parsonsfield Road (Route 160) in Limerick, according to the York County Sheriff’s Office.

Chrystal McNeilly, 28, of Biddeford was driving a 2005 Ford Escape north on Route 160 around 8 a.m. when she crossed the centerline and overcorrected. The car struck the stone ledge head-on and then flipped onto its side, the sheriff’s office said in a news release.

McNeilly became trapped inside the vehicle, requiring a Limerick fire and rescue team to extricate her from the wreckage, it said.

McNeilly was transported to the Limerick Airport, where she was airlifted to Maine Medical Center in Portland via LifeFlight, the sheriff’s office said.
