Henry Curran struck out 11 batters in five innings, and Yankee Ford scored a run in the top of the seventh to get by Coastal Landscape 4-3 in a Zone 3 American Legion game on Thursday night.

Ben Conti hit a triple for Yankee Ford (4-0).

Jared Brooks had a two-run homer for Coastal Landscape (3-1).

LIBBY-MITCHELL 9, SUMMIT GAS 0: Cam Seymour had three doubles to lead Libby-Mitchell past Summit Gas at Yarmouth.

Wyatt Plummer added a pair of singles for Libby-Mitchell.

Joe DuFusco had two hits for Summit Gas.

WELLS 9, NOBLE 2: Nick Cousins threw a four-hitter, fanning 11 while walking four, and Wells pounded out 14 hits in handling Noble at Wells.

Cousins also had a single and triple, while Gary Andrew added a single and a double as six Wells players recorded multiple-hit games.

Jackson Vandenberg had a double for Noble.

SACO & BIDDEFORD SAVINGS 9, STAPLES CROSSING 4: Nick Gallant pitched a complete game, Brady Crepeau hit a solo home run in the third inning, and Saco & Biddeford Savings (5-1) beat Staples Crossing (3-3) at Kittery.

Gallant allowed four runs on six hits while striking out two.

Casey Twomey had two hits and three RBI for Saco & Biddeford Savings.

Zach Hodges hit a two-run homer in the third for Staples Crossing.

JUNIOR LEGION

GORHAM 12, CAPE ELIZABETH 2: Brogan McDonald tripled, scored twice and picked up the win on the mound to lead Gorham (5-0) to a victory at Cape Elizabeth (2-4).

McDonald allowed two runs on two hits in four innings.

Will Prescott doubled and drove in two runs for Gorham.

Jack Glanville and Cooper Hoffman each had a single for Cape Elizabeth.

MORRILL POST 19, BIDDEFORD 3: Caden Horton and Hunter Owen combined to throw a no-hitter as Morrill Post rolled past Biddeford in a five-inning game at South Portland.

Gordon Whittemore hit two inside-the-park home runs to lead Morrill’s 22-hit attack, while James DiBiase and Horton each added a triple.

SUMMIT GAS SWEEPS MESSALONSKEE: Dominic Morrill threw three innings of no-hit relief to pick up the win, and Summit Gas (3-2) scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh to edge Messalonskee 4-3 in the first game of a doubleheader at Yarmouth.

Joe Coyne drove in the tying run with a single and scored on a single by Ethan Beleska for the winning run.

John Jordan had a two-run single in the bottom of the fifth inning to give Summit the lead for good in Game 2 as the team outlasted Messalonskee (1-6) for 7-5 victory that was called after six innings because of darkness.

CUMBERLAND 5, LYMAN 2: Wade Sansone tripled and picked up the win on the mound to help Cumberland defeat the Eagles at Fairfield.

Josh Dow had two hits for Lyman.

FITNESS FACTORY 5, MT. ARARAT 3: Spencer Todd struck out 10 batters in six innings to lead Fitness Factory (2-2) over Mt. Ararat at Portland.

Todd allowed just two hits. Luke Hill had two hits including an RBI single in the first for Fitness Factory.
