South Portland is hosting a weekly concert series at Mill Creek Park and movies under the stars at Bug Light Park.
The concert series at Mill Creek Park kicks off on Wednesday, July 6, at 6:30 p.m. with the Don Campbell Band. The series continues with Studio Two on July 13, North of Nashville on July 20 and The Substitutes on July 27. There will also be two shows in August, the Maine Marimba Ensemble on Aug. 3 and Motor Booty Affair on Aug. 10.
The movie series starts on Thursday, July 7, with “The Peanuts Movie.” Gates open at 6:30 p.m., movie starts after sunset. The rest of the schedule includes “The Princess Bride” on July 14, “Inside Out” on July 21 and “Zootopia” on July 28.
All events are free and attendees should bring their own lawn chairs, blankets and snacks.
The Bug Light movie series kicks off on July 7 with “The Peanuts Movie.”
North of Nashville is one of the bands playing at Mill Creek Park this summer.
