New coaches for SMCC
John Flanders has been named to the new baseball coach at Southern Maine Community College and Ray Magnant is the school’s new softball coach. Flanders previously coached at Dean College in Franklin, Massachusetts. Magnant just led Biddeford High’s softball team to the Class A state title.
South Portland coaching openings
South Portland High School has coaching openings for assistant football, first team boys’ soccer, first team girls’ soccer, junior varsity girls’ basketball, JV boys’ ice hockey and assistant girls’ indoor track. Mahoney Middle School is seeking boys’ soccer, girls’ soccer and cross country coaches.
