The York County Sheriff’s office said a 24-year-old man died in Long Pond in Parsonsfield Saturday afternoon.
Sheriff’s deputies were call to the pond’s boat launch area, off the Road Between the Ponds, at about 1:45 p.m., the sheriff’s office said, with reports that a man was floating in the water.
According to the sheriff’s office, they attempted to revive Damian Campbell of Parsonsfield for about an hour, but were unsuccessful.
An autopsy will be conducted to determine the exact cause of death.
No other details were available Saturday night.
