BRISTOL — A man hospitalized in critical condition last week after a swimming accident near the Bristol Mills Dam was identified Tuesday as Peter Beauchamp, 73, of Bristol.
The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office said Beauchamp was found facedown and unresponsive in the water on Thursday when emergency workers came to the scene.
Beauchamp was transferred to Maine Medical Center, where he still was listed in critical condition Tuesday night.
Police said they have no new information about the incident.
