
Jimmy was a retired truck driver for Union Local 25 in Boston and a U.S. Coast Guard veteran during WWII. He spent many years at Old Orchard Beach in Maine, where he made countless friends that became like family.
Jimmy was the beloved husband of the late Jean M. (George) O’Neil; devoted father of Beverly Childers and her husband Frank of Stoneham, Massachusetts, Madonna Toto and her husband Michael of Wilmington, Deborah Picardi and her late husband Gino of Indialantic, Florida, and the late Marianne O’Neil; loving grandfather of Cathy-Jean LeBel and her companion Sean Cunningham, Frankie and Kim Childers, Stephen and Daniela Barresi, David Barresi, Rebecca Caples and her companion Rob Russo, Geno Picardi and Amanda Picardi; and great-grandchildren Emma, Bryan, Noah, Cole, Stefano, Bianca, Ava, Mia, Domenic, David and Stella.

Family and friends will gather at Nichols Funeral Home, 187 Middlesex Ave. (Route 62), Wilmington, Massachusetts, from 10- 11:45 a.m. Saturday, July 9, followed at noon by a Mass of Christian burial in St. Thomas of Villanova Church, 126 Middlesex Ave., Wilmington. Interment with military honors will follow in Wildwood Cemetery, Wilmington.
