Those affected by hereditary breast, ovarian or related cancer syndromes are invited to attend a free screening of the documentary, “In the Family,” by Joanna Rudnick, offered at the Cancer Community Center in South Portland on Tuesday, July 26, at 6 p.m.
Rudnick tested positive for the BRCA gene that greatly increases the risk of breast cancer, and her film chronicles the stories of families undergoing genetic testing, the decisions they make as a result and the impact those decisions have on their lives.
