A Connecticut man was arrested Monday on felony charges stemming from a drug-related home invasion, robbery and kidnapping incident in Falmouth last January.

Sherman Stigler, 31, was apprehended by the Willimantic Police Department in Connecticut. He faces robbery, aggravated criminal trespass, kidnapping, burglary and assault.

Stigler and another man allegedly forced their way into a home on Fox Run Road Jan. 12, 2015, assaulted a male resident and forced him to withdraw money from a local bank, Falmouth police said.

He was arraigned in a Connecticut court and was ordered held on $250,000 cash bond, The Associated Press reported Tuesday. Stigler will also face an extradition hearing.

The arrest comes after Stigler was indicted on the Maine charges in July.
