News of a mass slaughter of innocents by terrorists in France shocks the world again.
How many more attacks have to occur before America declares war on the Islamic State? How many more years have to pass before we declare war on the so-called Islamic State (also known as ISIS or ISIL) and other jihadists?
Last fall, Hillary Clinton spoke about the “progress” we’re making against ISIS. In December 2014, President Obama told our troops, “the world is better, it’s safer, it’s more peaceful.” The president calls ISIS the JV team. Give me a break!
Every one of these attacks is an attack against Western civilization. Every attacker dreams of killing Americans. When is our president going to take off the blinders and ask Congress for a declaration of war?
Can he at least call them by their name, or will he and Secretary of State John Kerry continue to play word games, like calling them “ISIL” or “Daesh”? Maybe he’ll deliver another teleprompter speech! In the meantime, he continues to cut the budget of our military. Our pilots and troops are cannibalizing parts from out-of-service equipment just in order to carry out their limited missions.
People, containment does not work! Call U.S. Sen. Susan Collins, U.S. Sen. Angus King and President Obama today and demand they do their jobs!
