The city of Portland’s Sound Oversight Committee will meet Wednesday to discuss noise issues and complaints throughout the city.

Jessica Grondin, city spokeswoman, said committee members will meet at 3 p.m. in Room 209 of Portland City Hall.

The group, which is chaired by Portland police Lt. Gary Hutcheson, plans to discuss the current noise ordinance and consider whether any changes should be made. Public comment will not be allowed, but the public is invited to attend.

The other committee members are Code Enforcement Officer Paul Fagone, Portland resident Jack Murray, and Robert Waitkevitch, the owner of Fore Play sports pub on Fore Street.
