
She was born in Canada on Jan. 18, 1948, the daughter of Clement and Lucienne (Levesque) Boucher. She was educated in Canada schools.
At the age of 16, Mariette moved to the United States. She married her husband Gerald on July 29, 1972.
She was a homemaker who enjoyed raising her family. She also worked with her husband for their family business for 36 years.
Mariette was an avid reader, and enjoyed playing cards. She also liked to travel and cook. Most of all, she loved to spend time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by: her husband of 44 years, Gerald Soucy; four children, Michael G. Soucy and his fiancée Heather, Stephen J. Soucy, Serina M. Soucy and Eric K. Soucy and his wife Jennifer; five grandchildren, Amber, Grayce, Avrey, Marcus and Gavin; one brother, Sylvio “Pipe” Boucher and his wife Rita; and several nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be 4-7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 4, at Cote Funeral Home, 87 James St., Saco. A funeral mass will be held at 9 a.m. Friday, Aug. 5, at St. Joseph’s Church, Good Shepherd Parish in Biddeford. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 5, at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Biddeford.
