Five days of feasting on seafood, concerts, midway rides and competitions at the 69th annual Maine Lobster Festival in Rockland will come to a close Sunday evening.
But the annual summer event’s finale also completes months of work by volunteers who support the festival’s fundraising for midcoast community services, scholarships and high school sports teams. The festival also is dedicated to supporting Maine’s lobster industry.
Sunday’s events include a road race and fun run for kids and the International Great Crate Race. For more information, go to mainelobsterfestival.com.
