NEW HIRES
Andrew Slattery joined Dawson, Smith, Purvis & Bassett after completing an internship during the 2016 tax season.
Slattery recently graduated from the University of Southern Maine with a degree in accounting. He lives in Auburn.

 

People’s United Bank has hired Donna Temple as senior vice president, senior wealth management officer.
Temple brings more than 18 years of experience at Bangor Savings Bank, Fleet Bank and the law firm Pierce Atwood.

 

People’s United also hired Barbara Raths as senior vice president, senior relationship manager for government banking.
Raths, of Portland, was previously the team leader for treasury at WEX Inc. in South Portland. She also served as deputy treasurer for the state of Maine from 2005 to 2013.

Kennebunk Savings has hired Thomas Zuke as senior vice president and chief financial officer.
Zuke, of Saco, was previously with another Maine mutual savings institution, where he had been chief financial officer since 2009.

Jessica Schneckloth was recently hired at Trademark Federal Credit Union as the member services manager.
Schneckloth brings 14 years of experience in finance.

Macpage LLC has hired Elena Kuvshinova and Ashleigh Gagne as audit associates.
Kuvshinova, of Wells, began her accounting practice this year after completing an internship with Macpage during the tax season.
Gagne, of Skowhegan, has practiced in public accounting since the 2104 tax season. She also completed her first internship with Macpage. Prior to joining the firm, she worked as a financial analyst.

Northeast Bank has hired Zach Farrington as senior mortgage loan officer.
Farrington, of Lewiston, has spent the past six years in the financial services industry. Prior to joining Northeast Bank, he worked in the mortgage divisions of RMS Mortgage, TD Bank and Bank of America.

Skowhegan Savings Bank has hired Steve Thomas as senior vice president of commercial lending.
Thomas, of Hermon, brings more than 22 years of banking and management experience with a primary focus on the commercial market. Most recently, he worked for Camden National as the senior vice president and director of commercial banking for northern Maine.

SIS Bank has hired Karyn Scharf Morin as the new vice president, senior retail banker.
Most recently, Morin was a CRA officer at Kennebunk Savings Bank.

 

PROMOTIONS
Katahdin Trust promoted David Cambridge and Kevin Plourde, who together have nearly 40 years of service at Katahdin Trust.
Cambridge, of Chapman, was promoted to senior vice president, commercial services officer. He joined the bank in 1999. He was promoted to vice president in 2001 and to regional vice president in 2014.

 

Plourde, of Caribou, was promoted to senior vice president, credit administrator. He joined the bank in 1995. In 1999, he was promoted to vice president, credit administrator.

 

PeoplesChoice Credit Union recently promoted Daniel Dallaire to mortgage administration manager at its Saco branch.
Dallaire was previously a mortgage loan originator with PeoplesChoice serving the Sanford/Wells area.

BOARD APPOINTMENTS
The Maine Estate Planning Council announced that the following board members were elected as officers for the 2016-2017 fiscal year.
Joseph Powers, of UBS Financial Services, was elected president. Robin Cyr, of Albin Randall & Bennett, was named vice president. Kerry Peabody, who works for Clark Insurance, was named treasurer. Timothy Woodhouse, of Acadia Trust, N.A., was elected secretary; and Jennifer Kruszewski, of Epstein & O’Donovan, LLP, is immediate past president.

University Credit Union opened a drive-up lane at its Farmington branch.
The drive-up ITM allows credit union members to perform a variety of transactions traditionally done in branch. Transactions available include withdrawals, deposits, transfers, check cashing, balance inquiries and loan payments.
