The monthly poetry series, Lowry’s Lodge, continues at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 20, at Continuum for Creativity, 863 Main St., Westbrook. Jim Donnelly and Anna Wrobel will host the event. Suggested donations is $4 and refreshments will be served.

Class of ’47  reunion

Class of ’52 reunion

The Westbrook High School class of 1952 will celebrate its 64th renuion on Friday, Sept. 9, at Fireside Inn & Suites, 81 Riverside St., in Portland. Good in concert

Maine singer-songwriter David Good will entertain from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 17, in Riverbank Park. The free concert is part of a summer series, which continues until Aug. 24.

Westbrook/Gorham Rotary leaders recently discussed its new 501c3 status with an accountant. Maine country singer Jose Duddy attracts a crowd at a concert Aug. 3 at Riverbank Park in Westbrook. Many concert-goers, not picutured, sat under shade of trees due to the heat.

Members of the Downtown Westbrook Coalition visited the new Westbrook House of Pizza during its opening day Monday, Aug. 8, in a show of support for the new business.  The restaurant at 1 Westbrook Common may soon add outdoor dining.
