A New Hampshire woman was arrested early Monday morning in Kittery after police allegedly found her in possession of jewelry and drugs stolen during a burglary in Eliot.

Police came into contact with 19-year-old Emily Obrien of Rye during a traffic stop at 2:40 a.m. During the stop, police discovered the passenger, 24-year-old Jacob Finenco of Eliot, had outstanding warrants in Maine and New Hampshire.

As an officer investigated, a search of the car turned up jewelry and drugs that were stolen during an Aug. 25 burglary in Eliot, police said. Obrien was charged with burglary and is being held on $1,000 cash bail at the York County Jail pending arraignment.

Police say Finenco’s Maine warrants stemmed from Eliot Police Department investigations of forgery and failure to appear in court. He was charged as a fugitive from justice and is being held without bail for New Hampshire authorities, who have charged him with violation of probation in a theft case.
