TOPSHAM — Curtis Simard, president and CEO of Bar Harbor Bank & Trust, along with the board of directors, recently welcomed Donna Ewert as VP/trust officer to Bar Harbor Trust Services.

Ewert is a financial planning professional who has been establishing solid, longterm client relationships built on trust since 1998. She began her career with Fidelity Investments in New York City as an associate financial sales representative, and in 2000 was promoted to investment representative. In 2001, Ewert became an active trader/ field sales representative, managing Fidelity’s brokerage production in the southern U.S. region, based in Boston. That same year she progressed to relationship officer — Portfolio Advisory Services working with clients in Fidelity’s discretionary money management group.

Prior to joining Bar Harbor Trust Services, Ewert spent the last eight years as a wealth adviser at Robinson Smith Wealth Advisors in Portland.

Having grown up in Norway, Maine, Ewert is a graduate of Oxford Hills High School. She attended college at the University of New Hampshire, earning her bachelor’s degree in economics. She earned her certificate in financial planning from Boston University, and became a certified financial planner.

She and her husband, Scott, live in Brunswick.
