DARTMOUTH, Mass. — Senior Jasmine Boyle of Brunswick led the University of Southern Maine women’s cross country team to a 16th-place finish among the 37 teams competing in the varsity race of the University of Massachusetts- Dartmouth Cross Country Invitational on Saturday.

Boyle covered the 5,000- meter course in a time of 18:50.97 to finish 17th overall. The senior took more than 80 seconds off her 2015 time and improved 64 places in the finishing order.

USM junior Kelly Lynch of Harpswell was the Huskies’ third finisher, placing 125th overall with a time of 20:49.67.

The Huskies will be back in action on Saturday at the Bowdoin College Invitational.
