BIDDEFORD — Police have a identified a man they say was shot and killed at a Biddeford duplex early this morning. 

Jonathan Methot, 30, was killed just after 1 a.m. in the shooting at 68-70 West Cutts St., Steve McCausland, spokesman for the Maine Department of Public Safety said in an email. 

Biddeford and Maine State Police continued to investigate the circumstances surrounding Methot’s death at the scene Monday.

McCausland said the state medical examiner and the Attorney General’s office have been notified of the death. 

McCausland could not be reached for comment regarding a motivation for the shooting, or if any suspects are being sought in connection.
