To anyone who has been observing him carefully and has truly heard what he’s been saying over the past year, Donald Trump has repeatedly made it plain that he has serious deficiencies as a human being and in every way – morally, intellectually, temperamentally – is unfit for public office.

His opponent, Hillary Clinton, has been criticized, with some justification, for secrecy and untrustworthiness. But all is relative, and in comparison with Mr. Trump’s copious and monstrous lies, her false statements amount to occasional fibs.

Mrs. Clinton’s faults are well known, but she has a human heart, is experienced and competent, is capable of mature and informed deliberation over complex problems and, as president, would not make us ashamed to be Americans. None of these things can be said about her opponent.
