Constance Eschmann Armstrong, 90, Dearly loved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, neighbor and friend died on Saturday September 24, 2016. She was born on May 23, 1926 in Quincy, MA to Robert G. and Viola (Banfill) Eschmann.

It took all of us by surprise; the heart attack that took her from us was entirely unexpected. We remember her beautiful smile, the sparkling bright blue eyes, the flowers, picked from her garden, that welcomed us whenever we came to her house.

Connie was an artist and a skilled administrator. She combined these skills in creative and compassionate endeavors all of her life. Her gardens, woods and meadowland surrounded her with beauty and brought her daily joy.

Connie was preceded in death by her sister Patricia, (1972) her brother Arnold (2015) and her husband David (2013). She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Ruth and James Gibson, and Janet Armstrong and Gil Berke, grandchildren Rebecca, Michael and Christi, Dane and Amy, and Geneva, great grandchildren, Jaden, Kyler, and Wolf, and an extended circle of dear ones who now look to each other, and find reflections of a dear mother’s love in one another.

Memorial services will be held at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Brunswick ME on October 15 at 1 p.m. Those wishing to make memorial gifts are invited to consider two organizations dear to Connie’s heart: HIllary Clinton’s presidential campaign www.hillaryclinton.com/donate; Habitat for Humanity www.habitat.org/Giving/Donate.
