Maine Democratic congressional candidate Emily Cain is getting a financial boost from her party’s presidential nominee, Hillary Clinton.
Clinton campaign manager Robby Mook said Monday that Clinton is offering help to U.S. Senate, House and gubernatorial races across the country.
The Sun Journal reported that nearly $250,000 is being offered to Cain and to a congressional candidate in Nebraska.
Cain is running against Republican U.S. Rep. Bruce Poliquin in Maine’s sprawling 2nd Congressional District.
The campaign has been targeted from the outset, as both parties think they have a chance to win.
