SABATTUS — The Sabattus Recreation Running Club will continue its weekly, free Group Run Nights through the winter, unless severe weather hits.
The group meets in front of Mixer’s on Sabattus Road on Wednesday nights and the runs start at 6 p.m.
This is a great way to stay on a program through the holidays or to get a good base for next spring’s races.
There are two or three pace/distance groups, generally, from eight minutes to 10-11 minute miles. The groups usually go out for about 30-45 minutes. Runners can match up to run with any group.
Those wishing to join in the fun need to bring some form of lights (headlamp, vest lights, knuckle lights, etc.) and reflective clothing.
For more information, find the club on Facebook at Sabattus Rec Running Program, or email Jon at [email protected].

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
