YARMOUTH — Hunter Graham’s goal after 27:40 lifted sixth-seeded Greely to a 1-0 victory against 11th-ranked Leavitt in a Class B South boys’ soccer prelim Friday.

Greely (8-7) advanced to a quarterfinal Tuesday at third-seeded Cape Elizabeth (11-2-1).

Lucca Pfruender set up the goal, one-timing a pass from Owen McIntyre to Graham.

A.J. Eisenhart made three saves for the shutout. Lucas Perry had eight saves for the Hornets (4-8-3).

SOUTH PORTLAND 5, SANFORD 0: Charlie Cronin scored the final three goals as the fifth-seeded Red Riots (12-3) pulled away from 12th-ranked Sanford (5-9-1) in a Class A South prelim at South Portland.

South Portland will play at fourth-seeded Scarborough (11-3) in the quarterfinals Tuesday.

Liam Coyne opened the scoring after 15 minutes, running onto Cooper Mehlhorn’s cross from the left. Mehlhorn followed with a goal 10 minutes later, and Cronin made it 3-0 before adding a pair of second-half goals.

CARRABEC/MADISON 3, MORSE 0: The fifth-seeded Cobras (9-3-3) got second-half goals from Dustin Crawford, Dylan Willette and Mitchell Cates to beat the 12th-ranked Shipbuilders (7-8) in a Class B South prelim at North Anson.

Carrabec/Madison will be at fourth-seeded York (7-6-1) in the quarterfinals Tuesday.

PORTLAND 1, BONNY EAGLE 0: Alex Frank headed in a cross from El-Shadai Ngandu with 25:20 left to lift the sixth-seeded Bulldogs (10-3-2) over the 11th-ranked Scots (5-8-2) in a Class A South prelim at Portland.

Portland will be at third-seeded Deering (11-1-2) in the quarterfinals Tuesday.

Rowan Daligan made three saves to record the shutout. Brady Grass finished with five saves for the Scots.

GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 2, FRYEBURG ACADEMY 0: First-half goals by Nick McCann and Jake Kackmeister lifted the seventh-seeded Patriots (8-6-1) to a Class B South preliminary win over the 10th-ranked Raiders (6-9) at Gray.

Nathan Brindley assisted on McCann’s goal after about 15 minutes and Kackmeister scored from Nick Chandler.

The Patriots will visit second-seeded Yarmouth (11-2-1) for a quarterfinal Tuesday.

SEARSPORT 6, A.R. GOULD 4: Connor Kneeland scored from the top of the box to give ninth-seeded Searsport (10-5) a 5-4 lead against eighth-ranked A.R. Gould (7-7) in a Class D South prelim at South Portland.

Barrett Grant’s goal with eight minutes to play completed the scoring. Searsport will be at top-ranked Richmond (13-1) in the quarterfinals Tuesday.

FIELD HOCKEY

ST. DOMINIC 6, TRAIP ACADEMY 0: Hannah Trottier-Braun scored three goals in the first half as the second-seeded Saints (13-2-1) beat the third-ranked Rangers (12-3-1) in a Class C South semifinal at Auburn.

Caroline Johnson opened the scoring and Kylie Leavitt added a goal in each half to help the Saints advance to the regional final Wednesday at Massabesic High against Oak Hill or Lisbon.
