I want to represent District 3 on the Portland City Council so we can meet the challenges facing our city with creative solutions and action.

I support the India Street clinic, a vital needle exchange and sexually transmitted disease clinic that the City Council proposed closing earlier this year. As a nurse, I see the effects of the opiate crisis every day; closing India Street would have been irresponsible, but my opponent, Ed Suslovic, was the first to support closure.

Unlike my opponent, I agree with the school board that we should repair our elementary schools. Our children shouldn’t have to go to class in unhealthy or dangerous conditions.

I support providing tax relief to fixed-income seniors and prohibiting overuse of pesticides. I have been endorsed by the Maine People’s Alliance and Portland Firefighters Union Local 740. I look forward to hearing from you as I work hard to earn your vote.
