This letter may be too late for this election, but I call on all to log on to the Vote Smart website. We need more smart voters. Voters moved by fear and bombast are a threat to us all.
Vote Smart was started by presidents Jimmy Carter and Gerald Ford and has been endorsed by members of all parties and organizations that want unbiased facts.
Thousands of students and staff do background checks on every presidential, gubernatorial and state legislative candidate on the Nov. 8 ballot.
If you want to know how they voted, what they said, who gives them money, their education, issue positions and ratings from every interest that exists, log on to VoteSmart.org. It’s a very user-friendly website. Take a look.
