Animal Watch holiday fair

The OOB Community Animal Watch will hold a holiday fair from 3 to 7 p.m. Saturday at The Brunswick, 39 W. Grand Ave.

Proceeds will directly benefit low-income and senior residents who need help to care for their pets. Pet food can also be donated at the fair.

Those wishing to donate items to be sold for the fund or who wish to help should call 289-5002.

Fellowship’s Holiday Shop

North Parish Women’s Fellowship will host a Holiday Shop from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the North Parish Congregational Church, 895 Main St.

The event will include sales of jewelry, crafts, books, Grandma’s Attic items, toys, raffles, gift baskets and more.

Coffee and muffins will be available from 9 to 11 a.m. followed by luncheon items from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Lecture will highlight prisoners of Civil War

A Joshua L. Chamberlain Civil War Round Table Lecture will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday at Curtis Memorial Library’s Morrell Room, 23 Pleasant St.

Gardner Shaw will speak about “Five Months in Andersonville: A Survivor’s Account.” Lectures are free and open to the public; donations are greatly appreciated.

The Christmas Cupboard Holiday Fair will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Fryeburg New Church at 12 Oxford St.

The venue will feature two floors of handmade items, crafts, candy, baked goods, Christmas wreaths and white elephant table, coffee and doughnuts and a raffle to be drawn at noon.
