How interesting that on March 3, the big news was mostly about the same political circus that we’re facing today. On that day, the big news was that Donald Trump was visiting Portland. Lots of people showed up for it, but the majority of people were home taking it all in on their TVs.
On Page C7 in the print edition of the March 3 Press Herald, the “Thought for Today,” by educator and Librarian of Congress Daniel J. Boorstin (1914-2004), was as follows: “Nothing is really real unless it happens on television.”
