BANGOR (AP) — Police in Bangor are investigating two attempted home invasions that happened less than an hour apart.

Police say two men forced their way into an apartment on Lincoln Street early Friday morning but fled when the resident confronted them with a weapon.

Less than an hour later, officers were called to a home on Bolling Drive. A resident there reported two men entered the home through a back door and demanded money or drugs.

The men fled after a brief struggle that left one male resident with minor injuries.

Police have not said whether they believe the incidents are related.
