Many liberals’ opinions about Donald Trump remain as acerbic as they were before the election.
Yesterday, many prominent liberals praised Fidel Castro’s reign of Cuba. I find the two positions hypocritical. On the one hand, Americans chose Trump through the generally accepted democratic process. He has yet to take power. Castro violently overthrew his predecessor, tortured and jailed thousands, bankrupted his country and attempted to spread Communism throughout Central America and South America for over 55 years.
I suggest liberals take a deep breath and give Trump at least 100 days after his inauguration to either justify their disappointment or maybe, just maybe, surprise them on the upside.
