A Gorham man pleaded guilty Tuesday to possessing child pornography.

Steven Tutt, 45, entered the plea in U.S. District Court in Bangor.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office said Tutt’s home computer was searched after officers from the Maine State Police Computer Crimes Unit and federal Homeland Security downloaded child pornography from Tutt’s computer. Tutt later admitted to investigators that he had searched for and downloaded images and videos of child pornography.

Tutt faces up to 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine. He will be sentenced after a presentence investigation by the U.S. Probation Office.
