BIDDEFORD—Friends got together and put on the 10th Rock & Roll Oldies dance at the Eagle’s Hall in Biddeford in October.

The dance benefited the Ronald McDonald House of Portland. Tickets were limited to 250 and sold out.

“This time we had to refuse 80 people,” said Bruce Martin of the Oldeies dance Committee.” So, we are now doing two per year.”

The October dance raised $7,200 and to date, these dances have raised more than $35,200 for the Ronald McDOnald House.

Organizers would like to thank the following businesses and people who donated to the event including George’s Sandwiches; All Day Breakfast; Hannaford’s; Lucky Loggers; Bentley’s; LaFlamme’s Lobster; Seafood Center; TJ’s Pizza; DQ (Biddeford); Ray’s Market; and Kerrymen Pub.

Also donating to the event were Sea Salt Lobster; Federal Jacks; Maine Diner; Saco/Biddeford Savings Bank; Eagle’s; Mrs. Diane Cantara; Octagon Cleaning & Restoration; Alisson’s; China House; Shaw’s; Scarborough Lobster; Landry’s Shop/Save; Lou’s Auto; Strike Zone; Dave’s Subs; Jimmy the Greek; Good Thyme Café; and Dickerson’s Candy.

Others making donations were 99 Biddeford; Market Basket; Duffy’s; D.D. (Saco); Pizza Hut (Saco); Ace Hardware (Scarborough); Salty Bay; Escape Hair; Famous Dave’s; The Brunswick; Bell College; University Credit Union; Powder Horn; The Whaler; Palace Playland; Mr. Goodbar; OOB Campground; Lowe’s (Scarborough); Tractor Supply; Champagne Energy; and Hanson’s Hardware.

Martin said all, told, there were a total of 97 door prizes at the dance.
