Three people were injured when a minivan and a Jeep collided on an iced-over road in Wells late Saturday afternoon, police said.
None of the injuries appeared to be life-threatening, Wells police Sgt. Adam Shaw said.
The two vehicles crashed on Boyd Road around 5 p.m., police said. They were headed in opposite directions on the road, which runs near Route 9 in Wells, not far from the town line with North Berwick.
The injured were taken to a local hospital and there was no immediate word on their conditions.
Police said roads in the area became icy late Saturday as the sun set and temperatures dropped after rain earlier in the day.
