Ivy DiBiase’s goal five minutes into overtime Monday gave Scarborough a 2-1 girls’ hockey win over Cape Elizabeth/Waynflete/South Portland at Portland.

The Red Storm (6-1-1) took a 1-0 lead when Lucy Bogdanovich scored 2:26 into the third period.

Cape Elizabeth (4-4) tied the game with 5 seconds left in regulation on a nifty goal by Sophia Venditti.

BOYS: Brandon Wasser stopped a potential tying penalty shot early in the third period and then Brett Rockey, Skylar Pettingill and Eric Murray scored to give Scarborough (2-3-1) a 6-2 win over Thornton at Lewiston. Justin Perry, Egan Bradish and Kyle Jacques had earlier goals for the Red Storm (2-3-1).

Evan Balzano and Luke Chessie scored for the Trojans (2-4).

Joe Clark scored three goals and assisted on the other two as visiting Gardiner beat Yarmouth 5-2.

Tanner Hebert and Cam Bigelow also scored for the Tigers (3-1). Cooper May and Bill Jacobs had the goals for Yarmouth (2-3-1).

Gardiner’s Michael Poirier and Dan Latham of Yarmouth each recorded 20 saves.

Brandon Caron’s second-period goal broke a 1-1 tie as Massabesic/Bonny Eagle/Old Orchard Beach went on to a 4-1 win over Poland, Gray-NG/Oak Hill/Leavitt.

Cameron Roy, Tanner McClure and Travis Marsh also scored for Bonny Eagle, and Drake Goupil scored for the Hornets.

Ashton Dozios stopped 28 shots for Leavitt. Kyle McKay had 16 stops for the Scots.

• Robbie Armitage’s penalty shot broke a 1-1 tie and Falmouth (4-0-1) continued on to a 6-2 victory over Greely (2-2) in Falmouth.

Lew Mainella scored for Falmouth before Andy Moore countered for the Rangers to tie the game at 1-1.

After Armitage broke the tie, the Yachtsmen received goals from Reece Armitage, David Hawkes, Jack Kidder and Brendan Hickey. Jake MacDonald scored Greely’s other goal.

Spencer Pierce stopped 19 shots in the win and Josh Lawless turned aside 28 shots in the loss.
