Two people from Maine and a man from Connecticut were arrested Thursday night after a months-long investigation into the sale of heroin and crack cocaine in Bangor’s Coe Park neighborhood.

The three arrested were:

Roosevelt Brown, 32, of Stamford, Connecticut; Lynn “Mama Lynn” Cook, 52, of Bangor; and Thomas Anderson, 53, of Bangor. All were charged with Class A aggravated trafficking in Schedule W drugs (heroin/crack). The charge was aggravated because the location where the drugs were being sold, 24 George St. is within 1,000 feet of a designated drug-free safe zone.

Bail for each was set at $20,000 cash.

Cook also had seven outstanding warrants for her arrest.

Maine Drug Enforcement agents and Bangor police were investigating the importation and sale of heroin and crack from the George Street apartment for several months, including undercover purchases of drugs from the apartment.

Officials searched the apartment Thursday night, where they found five people inside. Officials seized heroin and crack cocaine with a combined street value of about $6,000, and an additional $6,500 in suspected drug proceeds.

The three suspects were taken to the Penobscot County Jail.
