BIDDEFORD—This year St. James School in Biddeford will celebrate the 25th anniversary of when three area Catholic schools – St. Joseph’s, St. Mary’s and St. Andre’s – came together in 1992 to form one unified school, St. James.

Notre Dame de Lourdes School joined St. James in 2010 to make it the only area Catholic preschool, elementary and middle school.

Organizers are contacting graduates of all years and their parents in an effort to update them on celebration and fundraising events for the school.

Those who have not been contacted can reach out to Helen Fournier at 282-4084 or helen.fournier@portlanddiocese.org.

A member of the anniversary committee is former principal of St. Joseph School, Sr. Terry Gauvin, who is also a current school board member at St. James.

In 2015, Sr. Terry was named provincial superior of The Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary (Good Shepherd Sisters)
