
He was born in Kittery on July 5, 1959 to Thomas Jr. and Rita (Legere) O’Meara. He grew up and attended local schools in Sanford and also lived in Biddeford for many years. He most recently worked at Dertex in Saco.
Stephen lived a simple life, and enjoyed being home with friends, and fishing.
Survivors include a sister, Patty Hallee and her husband, Mike, of Waterville and a brother, Thomas O’Meara and his wife, Vicki, of Eliot.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, Jan. 20, at 10 a.m. at St. Thérèse of Lisieux Parish Holy Family Church in Sanford. A burial will be held at St. Ignatius Cemetery in the spring.
Arrangements are under the direction of Black Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, Sanford-Springvale.
