CUNDY’S HARBOR — Martha E. Alexander 73, beloved wife, sister and aunt, passed away Friday, January 13th, 2017, following a long struggle with her health. She was born October 2, 1943 in Brunswick the eldest of four children to Sidney W. and Margaret (Carver) Watson. Martha graduated from Brunswick High School with the class of 1962. She has been a lifelong resident of Cundy’s Harbor. On November 21st, 1962 she was married to Ronald E. Alexander in Lisbon Falls. For 44 years she and her husband worked together on their Lobster boat. She was an extremely hard worker and felt most at home on the boat in the harbor. Martha was extremely close with her siblings. She never had children so she treated her nieces and nephew as if they were her own. Martha enjoyed gardening and kept beautiful flower gardens at her home in Cundy’s Harbor.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Ronald E. Alexander of Cundy’s Harbor, her siblings Robert Watson and his wife Karen of Cundy’s Harbor, Jane Applin and husband Skip of Topsham and Thomas Watson and his wife Darlene of Cundy’s Harbor several nieces and a nephew.

A graveside service will be held later in the spring at the New Meadows Cemetery in Brunswick, the date and time will be announced.
