Brunswick police arrested a Topsham man they say burglarized a residence on Mill Street Monday afternoon.

Brunswick Police Cmdr. Mark Waltz said officers allegedly witnessed Wendall Casler, 39, breaking into a residence and when he came out, Detective Jerod Verrill arrested him at 2:31 p.m.

Casler allegedly took a video game console and games, binoculars, a purse, a knife, an iPod, clothing and a bicycle.

Casler was charged with burglary, theft by unauthorized taking or transfer, and violation condition of release. He is scheduled to appear in Cumberland County Superior Court March 21.
