Bradley Beaulieu, Marshwood wrestling: The senior, who wrestles primarily at 138 pounds, won five matches in a meet in New Hampshire to eclipse the Maine record for career wins. Beaulieu, who improved to 30-0 on the season, entered Saturday’s meet tied with former Marshwood wrestler Cody Hughes with 217 career wins. Beaulieu is now 222-11 in his career.

HONORABLE MENTION

Tucker Pierce, Maine Coast Waldorf Nordic skiing: A senior, Pierce turned in the fastest time from a field of 114 at the Maranacook Waves meet Saturday in Readfield, covering the 5-kilometer course in 12 minutes, 59.5 seconds. The defending Class C state champion for freestyle and classic, Pierce is featured in Faces In The Crowd in the Jan. 23 issue of Sports Illustrated.

Chris Roderick, Brunswick diving: At the South Portland Invitational on Saturday, Roderick broke a school record that had stood since 1996 by amassing an 11-dive total of 376.50 points. The senior placed third, behind divers from Bucksport and Wells.

Zac Manoogian, Westbrook basketball: The junior guard scored 30 of his game-high 39 points in the first half as the Blue Blazes blitzed Marshwood 62-39 on Friday for their eighth straight win. Manoogian made seven 3-point baskets.

Nyagoa Bayak, Westbrook track and field: The sophomore won three events at an SMAA meet last Saturday, taking the triple jump with a state-leading mark of 36 feet, 2.75 inches, the long jump (16-3.75) and the high jump (5-4).

HONORABLE MENTION

Nina Greenwood, Cheverus diving: A senior, Greenwood beat out a field of nine divers from six schools to win the South Portland Invitational on Saturday with an 11-dive total score of 324.05 points. No other girls’ diver in Maine has reached 300 points this year. On Friday, Greenwood placed first with 199.80 points in a six-dive dual meet in Cape Elizabeth.

Anna DeWolfe, Greely basketball: The sophomore guard scored 30 points, hitting four 3-pointers, as the Class A South top-ranked Rangers held off York 58-54 last Friday, which snapped the Wildcats’ nine-game winning streak.

Sophia Venditti, Cape Elizabeth/Waynflete/South Portland hockey: The sophomore forward scored twice, including 58 seconds into overtime, and handed out three assists as the Capers downed Cheverus/Kennebunk/Old Orchard Beach, 5-4.
