Yarmouth junior Luke Laverdiere was recently named Maine’s Gatorade Male Cross Country Runner of the Year for his excellence during the 2016 season. Laverdiere won the Class B individual state championship, qualified for the New England championships and the Foot Locker Regionals and was named Yarmouth’s Fall Male Athlete of the Year.
