When is there not a technical problem with signing up for the Beach to Beacon (March 10)? This seems to happen every year, despite organizers’ claims that the prior problems have been fixed.

I stopped trying to enter six or seven years ago because it was too frustrating of a process. Having 15,000-plus people trying to accomplish the exact same task at once on any website is not easy – let alone a website clearly not suited to handle the volume.

Yes, I realize this is just a road race, not a real problem like, say, the Trump administration or the Syrian refugee crisis. But it’s a big deal to runners, and it’s clear the current sign-up system remains broken.
