BOSTON, Mass. — The following local residents recently earned their degree from Simmons College or was recognized for outstanding academic performance for the fall 2016 semester.

• Laura Bickford of Kennebunk earned a Master of Science degree in Nursing.

• Annmarie Powell-Canas of Kennebunk earned a Master of Business Administration degree.

• Ashley Ellen St. Amand of Arundel was named to the 2016 fall semester deans listand is majoring in nutrition and dietetics.

• Lindsay Jean Nichols of Kennebunk was named to the 2016 fall semester deans list and is majoring in political science.

• Siobhan Kaile Kenneally of Kennebunkport was named to the 2016 fall semester deans list and has not declared a major.

To qualify for deans list status, undergraduate students must obtain a grade point average of 3.5 or higher, based on 12 or more credit hours of work in classes using the letter grade system.
