The latest seafood cookbook from chef and environmental activist Barton Seaver, a Freeport resident, has won a cookbook award from the International Association of Culinary Professionals.
“Two If By Sea: Delicious Sustainable Seafood,” published by Sterling Epicure, contains 150 recipes and was nominated in the “Food Matters” category of the IACP competition, which is one of the most prestigious in the culinary world. It is Seaver’s fifth book.
The awards were presented March 5 in the Louisville Palace Theater in Kentucky.
Seaver is a well-known advocate for the environment, especially the oceans and sustainable seafood. He is a National Geographic Society fellow and director of the Sustainable Seafood and Health Initiative at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.
