She was born in Sunderland, Massachusetts, on July 13, 1933, a daughter of Michael S. and Louise F. (Reska) Raffa.
She attended schools in Hatfield, and Sunderland, Massachusetts.
On Nov. 25, 1954, she married her late husband, Richard C. Stevens, and they shared 51 years together before his passing in 2006.
Loretta’s family was most important to her as well as her two pets, Molly and Princetta, She enjoyed watching her grandchildren play baseball, soccer, track and field events and dance recitals. She also enjoyed teaching Tegan and Liz the art of making pierogis at Christmas.
She was predeceased by her husband Richard C. Stevens in 2006 and also one brother, Michael Raffa.
She is survived by her three daughters, Louise Benham and her husband Peter of Saco, Ruth Melega and her husband George of Easthampton, Massachusetts and Rachel Kuban and her husband Michael of Chelsea, Vermont; grandchildren, Daniel Melega of Oxford, Ohio, Kevin Melega of Portland, Tegan Williams and her husband Geoff of Gray, Colin Benham and his wife Liz of Biddeford, and Dylan, Logan, and Aniela Kuban of Chelsea, Vermont.
She is also survived by her beloved cat Princetta.

At Loretta’s request, services will be private and at the convenience of her family.
