GEORGETOWN — Carol A. Murray, 67, of Five Islands Rd., died Sunday, March 26, 2017 at Mid Coast Hospital in Brunswick.

She was born in Damariscotta on January 1, 1950 a daughter of Clayton Sr. and Marie Cliché Huntley and grew up in Newcastle, and attended Lincoln Academy.

Carol worked as a waitress for many years and was a devoted and loving homemaker.

She enjoyed crossword puzzles, gin rummy, gardening, and was an avid animal lover most recently watching April the Giraffe.

Carol is predeceased by her parents; and a grandson, Ethan Read.

Surviving are her partner, Cleon Mains of Georgetown; six children, Dean Murray and his wife Helen of Topsham, Becky Coombs and her husband Brian of Brunswick, Dan Murray and his wife Rebecca of Jefferson, Texas, Daisy Murray of Georgetown, Cindy Murray and her partner Drew Marks of Bucksport, James Murray and his wife Hope of Stopover, Kentucky; a brother, Clayton Huntley Jr. and his wife Margo of Newcastle; four sisters, Lorraine Murray and her husband Ed of Phippsburg, Cathy Kaler of Newcastle, Cindy Onorato and her husband Bob of Bristol, and Brenda Huntley and her partner Linda Poussard of Auburn; 12 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and loved ones.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at 5:00pm at the Georgetown Community Center in Gerogetown.
