
State emergency dispatch received a call around 1 p.m. from a woman stating that her son, William Szymanski, 41, of Old Orchard Beach, was fighting with his stepfather at 127 Haley Road, Hollis, according to a press release from Maine State Police.
A firearm was involved and when troopers arrived on the scene they found two motorcycles damaged from six gunshots allegedly fired by Szymanski from a 9 mm Beretta, according to police.
The gun was recovered from Szymanski’s vehicle.
An assault allegedly occured, and the stepfather sustained minor facial injuries, according to police.
Szymanski was taken into custody without incident and transported to the York County Jail in Alfred and charged with domestic violence assault, domestic violence terrorizing and reckless conduct with a firearm. He is being held without bail and is scheduled to appear in court on Friday.
