NEWTON, Mass. — Jackie Wilson had four goals and two assists, Elyse Caiazzo also scored four times, and St. Joseph’s College ran its winning streak to five with a 12-8 victory over Mount Ida in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference women’s lacrosse game Wednesday night.

Samantha Medlin added two goals and two assists for the Monks (6-2, 3-0), who gave up the first goal to Nicole Pavao in the seventh minute, but responded with four straight and didn’t trail again. St. Joseph’s led 9-2 after Caiazzo scored two in a row early in the second half.

Alyssa Kelly scored five goals for the Mustangs (10-2, 3-1).

COLBY 18, BOWDOIN 9: Sasha Fritts scored three of her five goals in the second half, as the Mules (8-3, 5-2 NESCAC) pulled away from the Polar Bears (9-3, 5-3) at Brunswick to earn their sixth straight victory.

Lexie Perticone and Emilie Klein each added three goals for Colby, while Emma Banks and Kendall Smith had two apiece.

Hannah Hirschfield had three goals and an assist for Bowdoin.

MEN’S LACROSSE

CURRY 15, USM 11: Tom Cashin scored an unassisted goal 4:33 into the third quarter to break a 9-9 tie and give the Colonels (8-5) the lead for good in a win over Southern Maine (4-6) at Gorham.

Cashin’s tiebreaker was the first of five straight goals for Curry.

Nate Delgiudice paced the Huskies with two goals and two assists. Jeff Urmston, Tristan Dundas and Ryan Marsh each had two goals.

SOFTBALL

SMCC 12, SUNY DELHI 5: Southern Maine CC (3-2) sent 12 batters to the plate and scored eight runs in the bottom of the of the third in a five-inning win over the Broncos (2-7) at South Portland.

Emma Burns went 3 for 3 with three RBI for the Seawolves. Kahli Philibotte added two hits and scored two runs, and Kaylah Abdul also had a pair of hits.
